BLS CPR – Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider courses are held every Sunday & Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in Garland, TX.
To register, send an email to: texascprtrainingcenter@gmail.com with your name, contact number, and date you would like to attend.
You do NOT have to complete anything online before attending this class as everything is completed in class.
You will receive an invoice via email.
For anyone in healthcare, i.e., nurse, doctor, MA, PA, EMT, Paramedic, dental hygienist, dental assistant, physical therapist, dentist, respiratory therapists, etc.
- The cost for the BLS class which includes hands on $45.00
- Once we receive your information you will receive an email with class details, such as obtaining a student workbook, and the address, etc.
- You will also receive an invoice to pay online. Payment needs to be made immediately to secure your spot as classes are first come and fill up quickly.
- Payments are final and non-refundable – if you arrive past 5:30 p.m., are a no show, or if you cancel for any reason once payment has been made you will need to pay again.
- Please arrive no later than 5:15 p.m. as the class starts promptly at 5:30 p.m. The doors are locked at 5:30 p.m. (Thank you for understanding)
Is this the right course for you?
This is an American Heart Association BLS Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider training course, specifically designed for anyone in the healthcare profession, including nurses, physicians, CNAs, EMTs, doctors, physical and occupational therapists, etc. There is emphasis on two-person and multi-person rescue situations, and teaches the use of the bag mask and AED and how to treat adults, children and infants.
The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
The AHA’s BLS Basic Life Support Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
What does this course teach?
- High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
- The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
- Important early use of an AED
- Effective ventilations using a barrier device
- Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
- Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants
CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19
Because of the Coronavirus and other cooties 🙂 going around please bring gloves to wear during the entire class (NO EXCEPTIONS), and have them on before you open the door. Facemasks are optional. Bring you own pen as well. If you are feeling ill or have been in contact with someone with Coronavirus within 10 days please reschedule. Gloves are sold at the door for $5.00 (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Disclaimer
Each student that enrolls for any class involving CPR must be physically capable of bending their legs and have full range of motion of their arms. Participants should expect to be on their knees for an extended period of time throughout the course instruction. Also, performing CPR requires strength and good physical health, and it can be physically challenging for some students. Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing.
