BLS CPR certification is for anyone in the healthcare field, i.e. nurse, doctor, paramedic, EMT, medical assistant, dental assistant, dental hygienist, phlebotomist, CNA, PA, dentist, etc.
The BLS CPR Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.
In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.
Heartsaver CPR certification is for anyone not in the healthcare field, i.e., baby sitter, nanny, foster parents, boy/girl scouts, personal trainer, electrician, construction worker, etc.Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Students receive a course completion card that is valid for 2 years.Life is Why!
